Deena & Adam have been together since college at Ohio State University. They started planning the wedding right after the proposal, and you can tell there was a lot of effort put into it! Some of you may remember their engagement session last year, which featured a handmade dress and save-the-date sign. I knew then that the wedding would be DIY heaven, and I was right!
Deena, who sells her own hand-lettered art, created a ballroom straight out of Beauty and the Beast, complete with gilded framed accents, gold wine bottle candle holders, and so much more. However, the best part was how much laughter and love filled the ballroom. Adam & Deena were a joy to photograph.
Also, at the end of the night, ducks may have invaded our night-time photos. And chased us around for a bit. So make sure you scroll all the way to the end to check those shots out!

Sam and Clayton got married on January 21, 2017. For Pittsburgh, the weather was amazing. For Pittsburgh in January - it was unbelievable! 60 and sunny. They were married at the Sunset Room in the South Hills. It was a moving ceremony, and many people were in tears of happiness when it was complete. The images are probably some of favorites emotional photographs I've taken yet.

Lauren & Matt got married in a beautiful service at Phipps on November 12th. Afterwards, everyone made their way to Robin Hill Park, where they partied, enjoyed cookies, and ate Chinese food for dinner.
My husband has known Lauren & Matt since high school (maybe even earlier!) when they all used to fence together. We hadn't seen them in years, when we happened to bump into each other at a 21+ event (Indiana Jones themed) at the Carnegie History Center. It was fate!
I'm so grateful they decided to book with me, because the whole process has been a blast! We took their engagement pictures at Kennywood (click the link - you know you want too), and ended up with magic. I knew their wedding would be the same.
I cried watching their emotion during the first look (do you know how difficult it is to take pictures when you're crying!?!?), and again during their ceremony. You can just tell how in love they are. It radiates from them.

Caitlin & Joe | A Pittsburgh Golf Club Wedding
On October 1st, Caitlin & Joe tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at St. Bonaventure, then partied at the Pittsburgh Golf Club. Even though it rained during their scheduled portrait time, we lucked out with their venue's gorgeous interiors. During dinner, the power went out unexpectedly, but even with the set back, their guests partied on!

Ashton & Mike | Seven Springs Resort | Helen's Restaurant Wedding
Ashton & Mike were married in a small, private ceremony outside of Helen's Restaurant at Seven Springs. The venue was perfect for their day. Soft blush roses and lush greenery complimented the woodsy setting. The ceremony was held in front of a small waterfall, and attended by only their immediate families.
Their daughter participated in the ceremony, also receiving a ring from Mike. She spent the rest of the service running around showing it off to anyone who would look! Her actions made everyone's hearts melt.

Nikki & Ryan got married at The Mayernik Center just north west of Pittsburgh. Their wedding was a party and an adventure! For portraits, we ventured into the creek for a few shots, and later in the evening we got poured on when a big storm came through the area! Quite a memorable day.

Bianca and Pete met in Sewickley through friends. They actually went to the same high school a few years apart. They picked out her engagement ring together, and the jeweler called her when it was ready for pick up (oops!). Pete proposed to her on their front porch last May.

Bianca and Peter got married at St. James Catholic Church in Sewickley, then celebrated with their friends and family at the stunning Allegheny Country Club. Their wedding was beautiful, elegant, and focused on their friends and family. Judging by all the smiles, everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
