What do you do when you have a 4.5 hour break between your ceremony and your reception? Have an epic photoshoot all across Pittsburgh and stop for tacos! This was my first wedding with a snack break built into the timeline, and I have to say, it was pretty awesome! Thanks to Bakersfield downtown for letting the wedding party use the basement for a private dining space!

Assumption Church and Phipps Conservatory Wedding | Christa and Martin
Christa and Martin had to have their original wedding plans postponed due to Covid, so they were READY to celebrate this year. It was worth the wait for this beautiful celebration between these two families. We started the day with getting ready at Christa’s parent’s house, which was nice and close to the church. For portraits, the wedding party headed up to Emerald View Park for some skyline views, and wrapped things up at their reception venue, Phipps.

Phipps & North Shore Senior Session | Maddie
Phipps has an amazing variety of backgrounds for Senior Portraits. The lock bridge is one of my favorites. The texture and color adds a fun pop to images. And of course, the North Shore in Pittsburgh is a timeless spot for portraits.

When we pulled into Phipps to start Amelia’s senior session, it began to rain. The forecast said 0% chance, but that is Pittsburgh for you! Luckily, it stopped quickly, and the rest of the session was amazing. We were able to stop at Phipps, the Point, and the North Shore to grab some great photos. The sunset was incredible!

Maggie rocked her senior photos! We started with a gorgeous, floor length gown. I love when high school seniors choose something formal as one of their outfit selections.
Our next stop was Phipps Conservatory, which is always a great location for nature shots. We hiked all over the block, including a few photos along the path to Panther Hollow. Then headed to the cars for one last stop - twilight shots along the North Shore.

Katarina’s bright, fun personality really shines through in her photos! We traveled to Phipps Conservatory in Oakland to capture some beautiful greenery in the background! You can never go wrong with Phipps! We ended Katarina’s session on one of Pittsburgh’s many brides on the North Shore! Plus, night photos are always better by the river!

Maya told me she wanted the historic look of Frick for her portraits, and I was all about it. The Frick is a gorgeous space. I’m a little obsessed with their gardens & tiny greenhouse. We actually were able to go inside the greenhouse on the day of her shoot - which was amazing because it was cooooooold. Escaping the winter weather is always a plus in my book.
