Pittsburgh Senior Session | Zach

Zach wanted unique, creative senior portraits with dramatic flair. What better place to go than the Strip District and downtown Pittsburgh. We did about half his portrait session at night to get that great dramatic look, and added in some smoke bombs for a fun mix. Check it out!

Jourdan & Vince | Phipps & Mt. Washington Engagement

Jourdan & Vince are getting married next month.  Luckily, we managed to sneak in an engagement session, just under the wire!  They wanted to capture an authentic, Pittsburgh shoot, so we went to a few classic locations - Phipps and Mt. Washington.

After Dark | My Favorite Night Shots | 2016

Hey guys!  So if you know me, you know how much I adore stealing my couples away from their reception for a few pictures after dark.  They're almost allllways my favorite shots of the day (and hopefully theirs too!).   Recently I've been also taking some engagement & senior photos after dark too, so everyone can get in on the fun.

Hey guys!  So if you know me, you know how much I adore stealing my couples away from their reception for a few pictures after dark.  They're almost allllways my favorite shots of the day (and hopefully theirs too!).   Recently I've been also taking some engagement & senior photos after dark too, so everyone can get in on the fun.

This year had some pretty amazing shots, because I had some pretty amazing couples.  We've had rain, fireworks, sparklers, city lights, smoke bombs, creeks, and beautiful skies.  What more could you ask for?

Be on the lookout for my favorite golden hour (sunset) shots next!  Happy Holidays!

Lauren & Matt | A Phipps Conservatory & Robin Hill Park Wedding | Pittsburgh

Lauren & Matt | A Phipp Conservatory & Robin Hill Park Wedding

Lauren & Matt got married in a beautiful service at Phipps on November 12th.  Afterwards, everyone made their way to Robin Hill Park, where they partied, enjoyed cookies, and ate Chinese food for dinner.

My husband has known Lauren & Matt since high school (maybe even earlier!) when they all used to fence together.  We hadn't seen them in years, when we happened to bump into each other at a 21+ event (Indiana Jones themed) at the Carnegie History Center.  It was fate!

I'm so grateful they decided to book with me, because the whole process has been a blast!  We took their engagement pictures at Kennywood (click the link - you know you want too), and ended up with magic.  I knew their wedding would be the same.

I cried watching their emotion during the first look (do you know how difficult it is to take pictures when you're crying!?!?), and again during their ceremony.  You can just tell how in love they are.  It radiates from them.

Congrats Lauren & Matt!!!

Lauren & Matt | A Kennywood Engagement Session | Pittsburgh Photographer

Lauren and Matt wanted to do something very Pittsburgh-ish for their engagement shoot.  We tossed around ideas like the Strip District or the North Shore, but nothing clicked.  I have been dying to shoot at Kennywood, so I suggested it.  Lauren jumped at the chance (without even asking Matt first...ooops!).

Kennywood was kind enough to let us shoot in the evening on their last day of the summer season.  The weatherman called for rain, but in true Pittsburgh fashion, they were wrong!  We ended up with a cloudy, but rain-free evening at the park.  On the last day of the season, Kennywood puts on a firework display - so we lucked out with some firework pictures too!  Check them out!
