Allie | A Strip District Senior Portrait Session
Allie | A Strip District Senior Portrait Session
Allie came in from Florida while on spring break. All week we had beautiful weather; perfect sunny, 70 degree days - until the day of her shoot. That morning it was snowing and windy. Unfortunately, we couldn't reschedule, because she was head back to Florida the next day. So we pushed on. Allie rocked a summer dress from her mom's store Whimsy on Fifth, and made me feel a little weak as I shivered in my scarf and winter coat!
We started out at Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor in the Strip to capture a vintage vibe (yes, ice cream during this freeeeeeeeezing cold shoot!). They made her a beautiful peach float to match her dress. Afterwards, we explored the Strip District, including stops at the tire yard, a parking garage, and the old produce terminal.
Mellon Park & The Museum Senior Portraits | Bernie
Bernie absolutely slayed his senior portraits. He models high-fashion currently, so senior portraits were a great opportunity to take photos that focused more on himself and his personal style. I had to keep reminding him that he is allowed (and encouraged!) to smile and laugh during the session. We started out at Mellon Park for a floral give, then headed into Oakland for a quick stop at Phipps and the museum exterior.
