Phipps Wedding | Laurel & Joe

What do you do when you have a 4.5 hour break between your ceremony and your reception? Have an epic photoshoot all across Pittsburgh and stop for tacos! This was my first wedding with a snack break built into the timeline, and I have to say, it was pretty awesome! Thanks to Bakersfield downtown for letting the wedding party use the basement for a private dining space!

Mellon Park & The Museum Senior Portraits | Bernie

Bernie absolutely slayed his senior portraits. He models high-fashion currently, so senior portraits were a great opportunity to take photos that focused more on himself and his personal style. I had to keep reminding him that he is allowed (and encouraged!) to smile and laugh during the session. We started out at Mellon Park for a floral give, then headed into Oakland for a quick stop at Phipps and the museum exterior.

I love repeat clients! I got to meet Anjali during her brother’s senior portrait session, and it was so nice to see her again for her portraits. We went to my favorite floral spots in the city, Mellon Park and Phipps. You just can’t beat the florals in the summer time! I offer discounted rates for weekday day time sessions, and the other perk that comes with that is the Phipps public garden is open!

Allegheny Commons Park Family Portraits | The Croyles

Allegheny Commons is one of my favorite parks near the city! It always has the best light, and is a great background for any kind of portrait. My friends the Croyles popped down on a weekday to sneak in some family portraits before work, and they turned out so perfectly. Bringing some bubbles always helps engage the kiddos!

Highlighting your personal style is a big part of what senior portraits should be, and Reese certainly brought it! I loved the combinations of her fashion and the locations we chose. Mansions on Fifth really stood out to me for bringing in those dark wood tones and unique architectural elements. What do you think!?

The Highline & Station Square Senior Portraits | Talia

Talia had a fashion-forward senior portrait session all over the city! We started in Oakland at the columns, then brought in some color with the Highline. I love the industrial aspect the Highline brought in. To finish off the session, we headed to Station Square, where Talia wore an outfit she made herself!

I’ve gotten to photograph Sophia a number of times, and it is always a blast! She is an accomplished harpist, so we had to photograph a few with her harp. The rest of the session was focused on her at Hartwood Acres - one of the classic Pittsburgh locations for a senior session. Love how they turned out
